In reply to Hunter Allen. Sometimes I feel like a grump when 75% of my reviews contain some variation of "also, this movie is too long." But it's true.

Runtimes for everything except maybe horror and animation are still pretty out of control,* though of the Oscar nominees I saw it was only Conclave could conceivably claim to be “right-sized.” Anora was really merciless.

*It’s still ok when James Cameron does it.

In reply to Andrew Milne. Thanks Andrew! Well, 2025 is more than halfway over as of this posting, but still plenty of time for going on and up.

The Night Swim review is a classic.

Always good to know that I’m an amusement and not a mere peanut in the gallery – even better to see you keep posting your reviews.

Keep well and please keep up the good work!
