In reply to ED. Glad you're a fan; I had no idea this was so squarely "ED-core"! I like the sequel even more.

In reply to ED. I guess the Spanish of Zorro trumps the French of Le Maître chat ou le Chat botté!

On a no-jokes note, I’m glad you enjoyed the film once you had a chance to see it – this film and it’s sequel are, unquestionably the the things to come out of the Shrek franchise and possibly my favourite thing to come out of DreamWorks, period.

Cats, Swashbuckling, Fairy Tales taken JUST seriously enough, bold Spanish-Latin flavour, Antonio Banderas as Zorro, the dulcet tones of Salma Hayek, if this film was drawn up based on a Venn diagram my interests me be so squarely in the middle I actually appear on the Google maps street view.

– RAPIER –

Señor, when you cast THE Antonio Banderas as a Zorro parody he is no longer a parody, he is a Zorro (Albeit an unusual one).

Sadly the series has yet to make a joke out the fact that technically Puss should have a French accent and not a Spanish, but we can but hope.

– REMEMBERS RAPIER –

Ah, my apologies, my rejoinder may have been needlessly pointed. BUT HONOUR DEMANDED A RIPOSTE!

In reply to Hunter Allen. It’s a real Milhouse’s mom and dad situation

Yeah, when I caught up with this one a few years back I was very surprised how good it was. But it does look like a movie five years older than it is:

“As a kid, I always assumed Jack and Jill were siblings, so this arrangement made me slightly uncomfortable”

Their parents might’ve been, going by how well this movie does humans. At least Humpty is intentionally (?) abhorrent!
