It’s been just over a century since the premiere of Abel Gance’s La Roue — 101 years, in fact. Earlier this year, I reviewed La Roue, in which I touted Gance’s skill as an image-maker. In honor of a century-plus-one anniversary, here’s a hundred-plus-one shots from the film. These are captures from a rip of the 2020 Blu-ray release of the latest restoration.
