If I’m being honest, I had a better time watching this than the stodgy original Cinderella (and certainly Cinderella II). This plot is gonzo and Back to the Future-esque, bursting with goofy meta moments and self-deprecation and jokes that land and a kind-of touching redemption arc for one of the step-sisters and a legitimately killer chase scene (a horse chasing a boat!). Fun fun fun.
