When I was in high school, the Flash game called Quest for the Crown was one of the funniest things I’d ever seen. (You can see a full playthrough here.)
This is the same approximate cadence of humor. Subversive, minimalist, committed to the joke. I love it.
That stomp sound effect made me think of David Lynch for some reason, though.
