2009 Top 100 Rewatch – Complete!

As of my review of The Prestige, my rewatch of my 2009 Top 100 films is complete!

You can see an index of all of the reviews below. As of the conclusion of this project, this includes 81 full reviews and 18 capsules (I accidentally duplicated one movie on my 2009 list, so there are actually just 99 films on the list). I plan to expand the capsules in the future.

Results:

  • Overall, I found my favorites from 2009 to hold up quite well. Maybe that’s not much of a surprise, but it was still a relief!
  • Of the 99 films, I awarded…
    • 34 Masterpiece -Tour De Good ratings
    • 36 Exceptionally Good ratings
    • 21 Very Good ratings
    • 6 Good ratings
    • 1 Nearly Good rating
    • 1 Not Very Good rating
    • 0 Not Good or Very Not Good ratings
    • (Note: If you go counting these numbers today, it may have changed, as I re-rate movies when I re-watch them.)
  • That makes an average “Is It Good” score of 6.9 out of 8, or an average just about “Exceptionally Good.” It’s pretty exciting to see that I still hold my old favorites up to an “Exceptionally Good” standard!
